Josh Wildeman is currently a full-time instructor in the Kinesiology and Sport Department at the University of Southern Indiana. He also serves as the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach for the USI Athletic Department. In this role he oversees the program design and implementation of strength conditioning for all athletic programs and directly conducts the training for a number of the teams, including the 2018 Division II National Champion USI Softball team and 2019 Men's Basketball Division II Final Four team. Prior to coming to USI, he was an Advanced Physical Education Teacher and the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at Castle High School for eight years. During his tenure at Castle High School, the strength and conditioning program was awarded the NSCA Strength of America Award from 2012-2014. In 2014, he was a finalist for the NSCA High School Strength and Conditioning Coach of the Year Award. Josh is a National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and Registered Strength and Conditioning Coach (RSCC). He is also certified by USA Weightlifting as a Level 1 Sports Performance Coach and by the American College of Sports Medicine as a Certified Personal Trainer. Josh has been published in the NSCA Strength and Conditioning Journal and the International Athletic Administration Magazine and is a two-time speaker for the NSCA Indiana State Clinic. He received a Bachelor’s of Science in Education from Indiana University in 2007 and a Master’s of Arts in Physical Education (Coaching Specialization) from Ball State University in 2010.
