Coach Joe Chiaramonte is the Director of Strength & Conditioning for Byron Center High School in Byron Center, MI. He also serves in the same capacity at the Center for Physical Rehabilitation in Grand Rapids, MI where he oversees several other High School Strength & Conditioning programs and their Strength Coaches. Coach is also the Head Athletic Trainer at Byron Center High School.
Coach Chiaramonte has a passion for High School Strength & Conditioning, and strives to deliver the best to his School District, Coaches and Student-Athletes. Coach is extremely blessed for the opportunity to be an advocate for High School Strength & Conditioning while developing a culture that all involved can be proud of. The safety, wellness and fitness of every athlete he coaches are what drives him to be the best coach he can be.
Joe is married to his wife Elizabeth and has two children: Rocco (5) and Dominic (2.5), and another boy on the way in May, 2019.
In this episode we talk about where Coach has been and how he has transitioned from an athletic trainer to a strength coach, an overview of his program, challenges of overseeing his high school and also other high schools, his injury rates improvements since implementing his strength program, and much more.
