Justin Bentivegna is in his fourth year as an assistant strength
and conditioning coach at Hofstra University. He began his tenure
in August 2017.
Bentivegna has extensive strength and conditioning experience,
including serving as Hofstra's volunteer assistant strength and
conditioning coach during Summer 2014.
After his first tenure at Hofstra, Bentivegna worked as a strength
and conditioning assistant at College of the Holy Cross, designing
programs for men's lacrosse, women's volleyball and swimming and
diving, before interning at The Citadel, where he provided on-field
instruction and managed nutritional supplements.
Bentivegna then earned his master's degree in strength and
conditioning at Springfield College, serving as a strength and
conditioning graduate assistant in his time there. While at
Springfield, he designed and implemented programs for men's
lacrosse, women's volleyball, men's track and field and field
hockey, and also co-instructed an undergraduate strength and
conditioning course.
Most recently, Bentivegna worked as a sports performance assistant
at Connecticut with the women's lacrosse and women's track and
field and cross country teams.
Bentivegna received his bachelor's degree in health science from
Hartford. He is a CSCCa Strength and Conditioning Certified Coach,
NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, USAW Sports
Performance Coach and BioForce Certified Conditioning Coach. He
currently resides in Suffolk County, New York.
